About PeePodge Garage

For those of you who don't already know me my name is Joe. Coming right out the Marine Corp, in 2011, I began my transportation career as an Owner Operator working with my Father. Like you I've hauled most types of freight and pulled most types of trailers. Including open deck, vans, cans hoppers and tankers. I've experienced minor to major breakdowns all over the country. No matter where the breakdown occurred I always felt they could have treated me better. My Father called it, "being bent over the desk taking it where it hurts". I know exactly how you feel at this very moment. I've waited for hours, along the roadside, waiting for assistance. In actual fear that some highway patrolman would pull in behind me and demand I move or be towed. It never failed. You could tell them that Loves is on their way with two tires and a rim and should ETA any minute. By the time they show up your out of hours. Not a comfortable position.

Being an Owner Operator my Dad and I did most of our own major work; while at home. Minor repairs were done on the road when possible. When repairs on the road were not possible is when I experienced what your going through, right now.

I became very comfortable working on our own trucks. In fact I enjoyed the work. I made a career shift, remained in the industry, took a job as a driver / mechanics assistant for a petroleum hauling company. Over time I drove less and repaired more. When the chief mechanic left I was asked to take over. I wasn't satisfied with just maintenance and light repair. I wanted the ownership to allow me to save the company the cost of major repairs by allowing me to do the work myself. In short time they built a division around me.

After many years of engine teardowns, axle replacements, and the like, your name it, I've either pulled it, repaired it, and or replaced it. Which by the way included many repairs involving fuel tankers, on site or on location. I mention this in case any of you have needs... After being with this company for years I amassed many tools. Spent a disproportionate amount of my paycheck just keeping up with the new technology, requiring special tools. Just ask my wife.

My time with this company ended when they sold to a much larger petroleum hauling company. I was given a choice to drive for them, repair for them or go on my own. Well, with the amount of tools I had and the knowledge I acquired I decided to go into business for my self.

I incorporated PeePodge Garage, Inc. in 2023. And I've yet to look back. I have but one mission statement: I will never treat a stranded truck driver with the disrespect, the disregard and the lack of concern that I have experienced. We both have experienced. I will not take advantage of your situation by over charging or under performing. Allow me the opportunity to demonstrate my sincerity.

Whether your local, reginal or long haul coming through my area periodically, I would like to talk to you about my many maintenance programs that will aid in keeping your truck operational and dependable. Whether you have one truck or many trucks allow me the opportunity to explain what I describe as "Fleet Maintenance".

Thank you, Joe.

(And if you want to know why I named my corporation PeePodge Garage, just ask when we meet.)

The long and the short of it...
If you'd like to learn more, here's the "long of it".
Well, lets start with the, "short of it"!

After serving in the Marine Corp. I began my transportation career, in 2011, as driver. I then merged into maintenance, while continuing to serve as a driver. And eventually developed my career as a mechanic. I've attended many Mechanics courses. And I continue my mechanical education through many of my online subscriptions. There is however, no better education than hands on experience.
